An axiom is a self–evident statement or proposition that serves as the basis for an argument or system of belief. Axioms are assumed to be true and have not (or cannot) be proven. Basically let’s assume that these Axioms are true and see what follows from that.
Why “The Three Axioms”?
I like the dynamics of 3. Two was not enough to cover those aspects that needed covering. And if I bumped the number up to four I would have been put in the situation of making up the fourth just to fill in the number. Luckily three works just fine for me.
What are the three Axioms? The mnemonic for these three axioms is “Death’s Head Coin, Augmented Reality, and You Are Not Alone.” See below for some details.
Death’s Head Coin
This symbolizes the dual reality of our corporeal existence alongside our essential selves. It symbolizes the duality between our physical form and the spiritual essence of our being. It is a reminder that the physical world is transient, and our spiritual selves are eternal.
Augmented Reality
This reminds us that while we experience a real world, our experience is illusory due to the nature of the human biological machine. This means that we cannot experience the world in its raw, unfiltered form.
You Are Not Alone
This serves as a reminder that there are others, and that we are not the only ones at this rodeo. Basically, the fact that we are not the only ones in this world, and that there are others out there.
The Three Axioms (Principles) serve as a reminder that there is more to life than meets the eye. They are a reminder to be open-minded and to seek out truth without bias or prejudice. They also remind us to be aware of the limitations of our human biology, and to recognize the existence of others. By taking these principles to heart, we can become more aware of the world around us and have a better understanding of our place in it.
