Wikipedia declares the following about “affirmation”:

“Affirmations (New Age), the practice of positive thinking in New Age terminology”
“Affirmative prayer, a form of prayer that focuses on a positive outcome”
This blog is not an introduction to affirmations, nor is it a defense of the positive effects of affirmations. The definitions from wikipedia are introduced to establish a common focus. For discussions about “how do affirmations work” or “do affirmations work” try google, bing, or bongie.
This blog is for those that have had experience with affirmations and have found them effective, or for those that would like to experiment a little with this affirmation stuff.
As the title succinctly suggests, this blog is about the use of 3D gaming as a tool for affirmation. Specifically the Prosperity Path Orbs. Prosperity Path Orbs are not your average game — they are totally non violent, low-cost video games designed to enhance your journey through life. They run on any game ready windows pc.
How can a 3D game be used for affirmation?
Good question , glad I asked it. Typically an affirmation is declared through voice or thought.
In the case of thought, electro-chemical reactions in the brain are organized to form a mental representation of the affirmation — such as the words of the sentence. This can be accompanied (or not) by sub-vocalizations of the words. You’ve heard of people moving their lips when they read. That’s the idea. Only in the case of sub-vocalizations it is the vocal cords that move.
In the case of voice, an individual will say, sing, whisper, chant, or grunt the affirmation aloud. This involves many more muscles than thought, more calories of energy, and a great involvement with the process.
In the case of 3D gaming as a vehicle for affirmations, eye-hand motor coordination is required along with intentional submersion into an environment specially constructed for the affirmation. This involves lots of muscles, much more involvement and a sustained effort over a period of time.
Unless you belong to the magic bullet school of thought, it is pretty obvious that the more effort, energy, and involvement one puts into an affirmation the more effective it will be. Thus, video gaming (especially 3D video games) have a very high potential when it comes to working with affirmations. Granted there are minor details involved — such as proper construction of the game.
Given that a game is made with knowledge, it should be a very powerful form of affirmation.
